If anybody has a favorite place or business that is a real bargain for the consumer, please contact me and I will gladly list it here. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE ARE NOT PAID ENDORSEMENTS, just places that I and other people have visited and liked.
I, we, nobody gets anything from these people, except for the satisfaction of sharing good info that will bring a little joy to the visitor.

BUDGET TRAVEL, ECONOMY AND QUALITY
This is a personal collection of GREAT DEALS. It is nice to have money, but not all of us have deep pockets. Here are some great bargains:

- Hotel Ouro Verde, in Rio.
- Pousada do Sol, in Buzios. Very rustic, but if good enough for Brigitte Bardot, good enough for me.
- Hotel Florida, for the flat-broke, but clean.
FOOD
- Porcao Churrascaria in Rio!! (food, food and more food!!)
- Confetaria Colombo, Downtown Rio. A trip back to 1900.

- INTERNATIONAL LONG DISTANCE PHONE CALLS, Most special plans now cost 62 cents per minute or less to Brazil. Remember 10 years ago when we paid $2.50?
- Sattellite TV, Brazilian Programming Any suggestions? about $20 a month, I understand.
